Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
OpenLingua™ is an operating division and trade name of Pipo LLC, a registered Missouri limited liability company ("Pipo LLC," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the OpenLingua directory, scheduling, and coordination platform. By using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Vendor-Neutral Infrastructure
OpenLingua operates as a vendor-neutral digital infrastructure, directory, and scheduling protocol provider. We do not employ, supervise, direct, or control the manner or means by which independent language professionals and intake coordinators perform their services, and we do not act as a language services agency, staffing agency, broker, or employer of record.
3. Independent Professional Standing
Independent language professionals and intake coordinators listed or engaged through OpenLingua maintain independent professional standing. Each professional is solely responsible for their own licensing, certification, insurance, tax obligations, and the quality of the services they provide.
4. Fees & Pass-Through Model
100% of professional interpreter fees are passed directly to the practitioner. OpenLingua does not take a commission on professional service fees, and does not hold, transmit, or facilitate the movement of funds between clients and practitioners. Practitioners are responsible for their own invoicing and payment arrangements.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete information when requesting services.
- Maintain the confidentiality of any protected information you share.
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
- Direct any clinical, legal, or medical decisions to a qualified professional.
6. Scheduling & Cancellation
Scheduling, minimum booking durations, cancellation windows, and cancellation fees are set by each independent professional and are presented in the service agreement issued between the professional and the client. OpenLingua provides the tooling for these terms but is not a party to that agreement.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation.
- Submit false, misleading, or unlawful content.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
- Use the platform in a manner that violates the rights of others.
8. Intellectual Property
© 2026 Pipo LLC. All rights reserved. OpenLingua™ and its associated workflows, marks, and design assets are proprietary trademarks of Pipo LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute platform content without written permission.
9. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. OpenLingua does not provide direct medical advice or clinical care, legal advice, or any other licensed professional service, and makes no warranty as to the outcome of any engagement arranged through the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pipo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform or any engagement between a client and an independent professional.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
